(S) Certified Bangers

Veterans Memorial/I-355

Great highway. Speed limit 70 for most of it, and there’s rarely any traffic on it.

I-65 (Gary to Merrillville)

Rarely any congestion, speed limit at least 60. What more could you ask for?

(A) Giga Chad Highways

SR-49 (Indiana)

Great way to get from Valpo to Chesterton. Never any traffic, but the speed limit should really be 65 or 70.

I-88/Reagan

Speed limit 70, takes you to Aurora… and beyond… but it can get a bit backed up during rush hour.

(B) Good Highways

I-55/Obama

Decent speed limit, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a rural-ish highway. Plus, get close enough to St. Louis and it becomes the Paul Simon Freeway.

I-90 (Wisconsin)

Pretty much every rural highway falls in this category. There’s rarely traffic, and the speed limit’s relatively high.

(C) Ok Highways

I-294/Tri-state

For a tollway, it leaves a lot to be desired. Unless you’re driving it at 3 in the morning, you’re guaranteed traffic.

I-80/Borman

Everyone loves the goods that trucks transport across the Midwest, and they need to get from Wisconsin to Michigan somehow. The tragic effect of this is that trucks drive in lanes they’re not supposed to, slowing down traffic for everyone.

(D) Bad Highways

I-290/Eisenhower

It’s a shame the man who presided over the nascent Interstate Highway System gets such a bad highway. During rush hour, you’re probably better off taking Roosevelt.

(F) Dog $#!t

I-90/Kennedy

It’s always slowed down, in both directions. The speed limit could be \(\infty\) for all anyone cares. They should pay anyone who has to endure the suffering of this highway.
